Nickolas Duarte for walgreens

DIRECTOR’S NOTE

Dear WPP Walgreens Team,

Thank you for taking the time to review and consider my work for the upcoming Olympics campaign. Upon reviewing the boards, I connected immediately with this project. My sister-in-law was diagnosed in October with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Since then, her and her family have moved in with my family as she goes through treatment and her husband house hunts (they were previously stationed in Korea before the diagnoses.) Fortunately, she is fighting it and trending towards a positive outcome but I have seen first hand what it takes to stand up to this disease. I found the copy in the spot to be poetic, honest, and, ultimately, aspirational. It is direct and to the point yet is also empathetic and hopeful. I would love to have a chance to compete for this project. Thank you so much for the time and consideration. Best of luck in your search!
